My Image Winter Lenticular    has  been awarded First Place in Nature at the Hays Art Council Five State Regional Photography Show which runs from Dec 10, 2010-Jan 20, 2011. Three images of mine were juried into the show.

November 16, 2010 : Gallery Wrapped Archival Canvas prints now available

I am now pleased to be offering prints on a stunning new archival museum quality canvas. This is the new Breathing Color Lyve Canvas and its enhanced color gamut exhibits stunning output and when coated with Breathing Colors Timeless liquid laminate results in a gallery wrap that is truely archival. November 14,2010 : Best of Nature Show

My image Bison and Crestone Peaks was juried into the Best of Nature Show at the Ordover Gallery in the San Diego Museum of Natural History.  The show opened on November 13 and will run till the end of January

November 14,2010 : Photoshelter site launch

I am announcing the launch of my new photo archive site at Photoshelter. This new site will promote my stock images  by including many more images than are currently on shown here on my primary portfolio website. Stay tuned over the coming weeks as I add many new images to the archive. I plan to eventually have several  thousand searchable images available at the site with the ability to license them for editorial, advertising, and commercial use with instant access to downloadeable files. Print sales will also be available.

I have  returned from an amazing three week trip photographing in ANWR (Arctic National Wildlife Refuge) and Denali NP in Alaska. I will be up-loading new images from  trip over the next weeks as I edit and process many new images. Check out the the new Wild Alaska Gallery

March 7, 2010 : Creative Colorado show at DIA and the Colorado State Capitol

 Bison and Crestone Peaks  is being exhibited at Denver International Airport from March through June as part of the Colorado Council on the  Arts Creative Capitol Eastern Show. In July it will move to the State Capitol in downtown Denver.

January 24,2010 : Art Matters Gallery Representation

I am pleased to announce that I am now being represented by the Art Matters Gallery in Salida, Colorado, located at 119A First Street in the downtown arts district of Salida. If you find yourself in Saliada come check it out. The gallery represents over 40 fine artists exhibiting painting, sculpture, fine pottery, jewelry, and photography.

March 15 : Keywording

I have started enhancing  the keyword search capability by adding suggested key words to the search page. This is work in progress but should greatly improve the searching for images on my site.

March 22,2009 : New Images from Utah and Colorado

I recently returned from a trip to Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument in Utah, and on the way I stopped at Great Sand Dunes National Park.  It was a productive trip and I have uploaded a few new images for you to enjoy.  More  to come as I edit and process. It was nice to get back to Canyon Country! Spring is coming!

April 10, 2009 : Intimate Stone images added

I have added some  more images to the Intimate Stone gallery. They are all from the amazing Navajo Sandstone outcrops in the Vermillion Cliffs Wilderness in Northern Arizona, and were all  made with my 4x5 view camera on transparency film. Enjoy!

June 5, 2009 : San Luis Valley trip

I just returned from 4 days spent photographing in the San Luis Valley on the Nature Conservancy's  Medano-Zapata Ranch. Conditions were perfect with large numbers of wild Iris blooming in the wet meadows and unsettled stormy conditions which provided many spectaular clouds and  radiant soft light.  New images from the trip will be added over the next several days as I edit and process my selects. July 2, 2009 : Back from the Midwest

I have returned from my photographic trip through the upper Mid-West. I travelled through Nebraska, Iowa, Wisconsin, Michigan, Minnesota, North Dakota, eastern Montana, and Wyoming. The trip was very productive  with new Nebraska prairie images, fabulous sunrises over Lake Michigan and Lake Superior, images of the UP of  Michigan and Minnesota's forests as well as the amazing prairie pot-hole country of North Dakota. Look to the new work gallery  and this news page over the next few days and weeks for  new images from this trip.

July 12, 2009 : Back from the Desert!

I have returned from a 4 day trip to New Mexico and SE Arizona. The monsoon moisture flow from the south  is kicking in so there were good afternoon cloud and storm build ups, although the temps were into the upper 90's! New images will be posted soon. I found the desert to be amazingingly green this year, and the grasses around the Chiricahua Mountains were amazing.

I am getting ready to travel  this week to SE Oklahoma where I will be giving a photo workshop at the Museum of the Red River in Idabell, OK.  My good friend Henry Moy is the Director there. Looks like it is going to be hot and steamy!

I also just learned that one of my Bisiti Badlands images was choosen for this month's Cover Image for the Rocky Mountain Nature Photographers website. You can see it here.

July 25, 2009 : Back from Oklahoma and announcing my new Blog

Well I am back from my Oklahoma trip. The workshop was a success and I made a number of new images at the Tall Grass Prairie Preserve,Beavers Bend State Park and Red Slough. Between this trip and my previous summer travels through the Midwest and down to New Mexico and Arizona, I have many new files to edit and process. Time to spend some time in the office! The other big news is that I have decided to start a Blog on wordpress. I will be posting news, travel reports and general thoughts about photography including the stories behind and the details of my thought process in making some of my images. August 17, 2009 : Back from the Wind River Range, Wyoming

I returned last night from a fabulous backpack trip into the Wind River Range in Wyoming. I had three days of interesting weather including a bit of snow on my hike out. It was very productive photographically and I have uploaded to new work a preview of images to come. Watch my blog over the next few days, where I will give more details on the trip.

August 18, 2009 : Upcoming Show at the Winter-Helmich Gallery in Monument, Colorado

I will be the featured artist along with sculptor Ruth Burink at the Winter-Helmich Gallery in Monument Colorado for the next month. The show opening will be this Thursday August 20 as part of the Monument Art Hop held every third Thursday in June-September. Ruth and I will be present from 5:00 – 8:00 PM to greet and discuss our art with you. The gallery is located at 47 Third Street, in Monument Colorado.

August 28, 2009 : Show at Gallery NRC in Denver

During the Month of September I will be having a show at Gallery NRC in the Tennyson Arts District of Denver, Colorado. The opening will be Friday September 4 as part of the First Friday Art Walk. The gallery is located at 4424 Tennyson Street in Denver, and I will be present from 5:00-10:00 PM to greet and discuss my work with you. I will have about 15 prints displayed including some of my new work from this Summers travels.

September 6, 2009 : New Images

I have been processing more images from my June trip through the upper Midwest and have now  added them to the site in the new work gallery.
