Cross bedded Navajo Sandstone glows in reflected light deep in a canyon in the Vermillion Cliffs Wilderness. The reds and yellows come from oxidized iron (Fe+3) while the blue comes from reduced iron ( Fe+2)accentuated by the reflected blue sky light.
